Work Package 8 – Customer apps and backend system

This work package tackles questions concerning customer access to the ABSOLUT II project, which is to be based on the existing on-demand system “Flexa”. To this end, several components of the software must be adapted to the needs of the current project. The customer apps, for example, must be expanded to facilitate corresponding interaction with the vehicle and to implement a re-tuned pooling algorithm for services using autonomous vehicles. It is similarly necessary to review the software architecture in the light of ABSOLUT II and, where appropriate, to modify or expand the architecture accordingly. The envisaged final outcome is an optimally tailored system that is suitably prepared for all new circumstances arising from the use of autonomous vehicles. This includes also the specification of standardised interfaces and corresponding documentation, the continuous further development of which is to be coordinated by the project partners within the framework of Work Package 6.
